Graphic Designer / Production Artist

Full-Time Contract (approx. 6 months)

Do you take pride in flawless files, speed, and execution of seamless production across multiple mediums? We are looking for a Graphic Designer/Production Artist to provide support to our creative team by undertaking the production of print and digital projects while keeping best practices and brand guidelines. The successful candidate will be expected to liaison with Designers, Project Managers, and other key players.

Reporting to the Director of Design & Production, the Graphic Designer/Production Artist will play a key role in production for print and digital media, pre-flight, quality control, and design consistency. The ideal candidate must be highly organized; have a keen eye for detail; and be able to format content for a wide variety of mediums including print and digital.

We need YOU – a Designer/Production Artist who wants to make a difference in the world – to join our creative team.

MUST HAVES:

  • 3-5 years’ work experience as Graphic Designer/Production Artist
  • Technical expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, and other programs as necessary)
  • Excellent skills for file preparation to production
  • Ability to create and prepare print files for custom die lines and finishes
  • Experience reviewing print proofs and samples
  • Must have strong layout skills, organizational abilities, and excellent file-categorizing ability to ensure artwork is production-ready and projects are completed on time.
  • Expertise in print and digital production, typesetting, file packaging, project management, printers, color editing, and photo editing
  • Excellent eye for quality, brand assurance, and control
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • An eagle-eye for details and quality
  • A demonstrated design ability as proven by a solid portfolio
  • Experience in Stripo and Campaign Monitor is an asset
  • Video editing and animation is an asset

Classification: Full-Time Contract (approx. 6 months). No Benefits. Possibility this may become a permanent position, with benefits.
