Announcing the Third Annual Merkur Lecture at Congregation Darchei Noam.

This year’s lecture on "Wrongful Convictions in Canada," will be held on Sunday, May 26 at Congregation Darchei Noam and on Zoom, and we are proud to be hosting James Lockyer LL.B, Order of Canada.

James Lockyer is a lawyer and prominent Social Justice activist based in Toronto. He is the founding director of Innocence Canada (formerly known as the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted) a Canada-wide organization that advocates for the wrongly convicted.

Hosted by Congregation Darchei Noam's Social Justice Advocacy Committee, with support from the Merkur family and Rabbi Tina Grimberg, the Merkur Lectures explores themes of Equity, Civil Liberty and Social Justice.

This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Registration is free at Darcheinoam.ca/Merkur
