The Diller Teen Fellows Program is UJA Federation of Greater Toronto’s premiere leadership development program for Jewish teens in grades 10 and 11. Now operating in 30 communities in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, England, Argentina, and Israel, the goal of the Diller program is to develop future generations of active, effective leaders with a strong Jewish identity, commitment to the Jewish people, respect for pluralism and love of Israel.

As a Toronto Diller Teen Fellow, you will be part of a prestigious international community and can look forward to these exciting opportunities:

Developing leadership skills through monthly workshops* and fun – filled weekend retreats. 

Creating and implementing a community impact project. We give you the startup funding, tools, resources and support!

Working in partnership with the Diller Teens in Eilat-Eilot and across the globe!

*monthly workshops take place on Sunday afternoons at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto (4600 Bathurst St.)

Jewish Communities Mifgash (North American Conference)

A 10-day visit from the Eilat-Eilot Fellows to Toronto (April 2018) – this includes 7 days where an Eilat Fellow will be hosted in your home. Don’t worry, they’ll return the favour when we go to Israel!

Israel Summer Experience

Three weeks of traveling, volunteering and exploring Israel with the Eilat-Eilot Fellows, and the other 15 Diller partnerships (summer 2018)! The trip includes: one week of touring & exploring, one week of International Congress (assembly of all Global Diller Fellows), and one week in Eilat-Eilot where YOU create the itinerary!

Note: The Diller Teen Fellowship is a pluralistic Jewish program that welcomes Jewish teens from all backgrounds and levels of observance and involvement. All retreats are fully Kosher and Shabbat is observed.

Additional information & program fee breakdown 

The program runs for 12 months (September 2017-September 2018). The Toronto Diller Teen Fellows Program is generously sponsored by UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, and the Helen Diller Family Foundation. Each fellow automatically receives a $9,440 subsidy, resulting in a cost of $3,800 to the participant. In addition, needs-based scholarships are available.
